Help !!!!!

Today I was driving my 94 Camry. Felt like it had lost alot of power. I made it home and poped the hood, didnt really notice anything. but i gave it some gas. and at about 2000 rmps there is a knocking. I have a few people look at it. heard different things.
Sounded like a rod knocking or something but my uncle said it would knock all the time if it was.... (dunno for sure) He thinks its the valves. or a valve. i should say, someone else said it sounded like a timing belt. ? ? ? and another guy said it sounded like i need a crank ajustment. ??? ANYONE HAVE ANY CLUE WHAT IT COULD BE

PS. IT WAS 3 Qaurts Low of oil. (the light came on, and I checked it.) no leaks either ... that i can find. ..

Has it been burning oil, or have you just not changed it in that long? Low oil level is a bad thing if you have been running like that for a while.

yeah low oil can heat the motor up like crazy and have you throw a rod bearing or wrist pin or blow a head gasket or a bunch of other shit... have a mechanic listen to it, and then he will tell you if your engine is shot or not like mine........ i wasnt low on oil, it just blew for some other reason... grrrrrrr.
