Canada Direct vs. Universal Fit?

The terms used above (direct/universal) my understanding is that means one part may be designed specifically for one model, vs. universal which implies a part may be designed for all cars - or most.

Be that as it may - just got my new inner tie rod installed - and now trying to get the boot on. my boot slides up the tie rod - but I cant seem to get it to attach on the other side. the diameter is too small.

It says its for a camry. The one I have a feeling may fit better - is called a direct fit. Here: http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/se...965843&Vh=1994

Will I have better luck with the beck arnley one? Or should I just drop 50 bucks at the dealership?

Which boot do you have now?

You can't stretch the boot to fit over the steering housing?

Nah, I wasnt able too. Maybeit could be done if the rack was right out. Bought the toyota one for 60 bucks - had no choice, but it was much easier to install. Thanks
