first of all it is an i-4 motor and the supra motor is a i-6 motor. anyways, you could....but...(there is always a but . ) you would have to have custum motor mounts then custum rear wheel drive conversion, etc., etc., your better of getting the supra. But realistically you could get a 3s-gte swapped in and then do 5 -speed conversion i think the wraith had made wiring harness and motor mounts for the conversion you should do a search for it.
i know that they are i-4 and i-6......i just say L=line....like they are in-line with each other......thnks for the facts though.....ill probably drop a 6-speed instead of a 5

6 speed from what a supra???? it aint goin to happen. got herehttp://www.toyotanation.com/showthre...&threadid=9356 the 6 speed if from a supra wont work because any and all the supra's were rear wheel drive and just in case you dont belive me then do it then you will have to get a custum setup to convert your car to rear wheel drive.
still with the supra engine. so now your going to build your tranny i would love to see this when will u learn it just wont happenand if it does, IF it ever does happen the mad props to you. but it wont happen beacuse it would be cheaper for you do get the damn car instead of modding the cam.
ok....just watch.....anythin is possible....once i get out of college and make some money.....u will see...the first camry supra.....just watch...it will happen

whatever...im not mad at you....but my car has 190000 miles on her.....so it would be like buying a new car....probably the same price....used supra engines run about 5 grand and trannys about the same....so once u get through installation and transforming the engine and drivetrain it ends up like being about 20K....almost as much as a new car

It's not that it can't be done, but it's going to take some fabrication and some $$$ to do it.
The 5SFE in the Camry sits sideways in the engine bay, whereas the 2JZGTE sits longitudal. That's one issue.
Secondly, the 5SFE runs on a FWD drivetrain, whereas the Supra runs on a RWD drivetrain. You will have to convert the car to RWD.
If you keep it at FWD, you talking even more $$$ to find a solution to run with a powerful FWD tranny. The only candidate I can think of is a E153 from a MR2. Although we all adore the 3SGTE, the 2JZGTE is much more powerful; maybe too powerful.
In a nutshell, you will spend a lot more $$$ just for the conversion process alone than for practically anything else.
Ultimately, it's your wallet.
For the cost it would take you to perform such a feat, you're better off getting a Supra.
Technically, the Camry/Supra thing has already been done by the StreetGlow team (Bullish racing). They have 2 Solaras with 2JZGTE engines, full race.
