Transmission Cooler

So I'm looking into purchasing a tranmssion cooler for my Camry. I autocross it and I want to protect the transmission from the excessive heat.

Anyone have one installed on their car? How hard was the install, and which cooler would you recommend?

let me help you out befor Zoni has his way with you.....did you use the search function, because if you search for tranny cooler a lot will show up. (i know half were myn)

In most cases, I'm all for the use of the search function, but after you try using it a few times, you realize how highly unaccurate it is and how much of a PITA it is to actually find what you want.

well in this case man its perfect because when I do searchs it pops with tones of tranny cooler threads!


But to answer your question tons of poeple are or are planning to use tranny coolers. U running a auto or man.? An auto tranny cooler is real easy, to use it on a man. just tap it into the cooler ring that is on your tranny(hard to get off), in most cases you will need a circulation pump but on the never mans. like in my new solara trans that I got has this allready in place.

Make sure you put a T piece in the lines and hook up a pressure sensor so you can make sure the presure is staying the same as stock, to make sure your circulation is proper!
