Is there an airbag fuse?

My little red airbag light on the dash won't shut off. The airbags have never been deployed on the car.

Is there a fuse where I can reset the light? It's not doing me any harm, but emissions time is coming soon and they absolutely refuse to test any vehicle that has any dash light on, even if it isn't emissions related.

there probably is, look in your owner's manual

the year of your car would be a good idea if you have no owners manual so someone (if so kind) could check

You can get a shop with a diagnostic machine to reset it, or you can look up the procedure for jumping pins to do it.

pulling the fuse isn't going to work.....even if you disconnect the battery for a while isn't going to work.....you need to get a shop or something to reset it.....

oh yeah, but you could still check if the fuse is blown, there's probably something else on that same fuse, that could have done it

Just pull out the light behind the dash to get rid of the light so you can get an E-test done.

The SRS light must have came on for a reason... I would get it checked out incase of any malfuntions in the airbag system... (note: knocked out -- by airbag).

A few mechanics I talked to said only the dealer can reset. The dealer said it was a special tool. What ever that means. I had the light on, and they still let me pass smog in CA.

That's not true. A mechanic with one of those snap-on scanners can reset it for you.

If they can reset the airbag, then why didn't my custom wiring guy reset it with all the snap on scanners he uses?

I had my airbag light go on. Took it to my mechanic and saw him reset it with my own eyes. Maybe you should ask your guy why he didn't do it

This has been covered a few times in TN. I, along with a few others here, have reset their airbags themselves with just two wire leads.

Do a search using my name and the word airbag and you'll find some pretty good threads...as well, I have the instructions posted straight from the factory service manual.

You should really get it checked out though as it could be something serious.
