i was just talking with my dad the other day on car insurance.. if i added a bunch of stuf to my car, will insurance pay it all? i have full coverage, but what about all those extras (wood kit, lights, remote start)?
do i just keep all the receipts? or should i make a video recording of my car and everything?
Don't think so, insurance covers full on the actual car no mods I don't think. I think someone made a post about how lowering ur car could even void ur insurance.
Dont' expect to get anything for those parts unless you remove them post-accident and sell what you can. Visual modifications are right out except stock color-matched paint. SOME manufacturer parts are covered, like 'stage' upgrades from TRD - but not all of them.

I'm with state farm, and I was told as long as the parts are bolted to the car and you have recipts for the parts, they are covered. Good Luck!
