i was just talking with my dad the other day on car insurance.. if i added a bunch of stuf to my car, will insurance pay it all? i have full coverage, but what about all those extras (wood kit, lights, remote start)?

do i just keep all the receipts? or should i make a video recording of my car and everything?

Don't think so, insurance covers full on the actual car no mods I don't think. I think someone made a post about how lowering ur car could even void ur insurance.

Dont' expect to get anything for those parts unless you remove them post-accident and sell what you can. Visual modifications are right out except stock color-matched paint. SOME manufacturer parts are covered, like 'stage' upgrades from TRD - but not all of them.

That really sucks man, what happened?

I'm with state farm, and I was told as long as the parts are bolted to the car and you have recipts for the parts, they are covered. Good Luck!

Holy crap. Glad you're okay, man. You plow into a wall and start spinning or something?

I got something from the at-fault party's insurance when my car was totalled... but my insurance won't cover aftermarket parts unless I pay extra...
