How is it going guys? I'm new to the forum & am in the market for a new car. After some research & test drives, etc, I've decided on the 2010 Camry SE. I'm hoping everything will work out & I can purchase soon. I did a quick search & didnt find anything, even though I'm sure its been discussed before. So how much has everyone paid for their Camry's, what model do you have & year? What dealership did you purchase from? Im just trying to do all my homework before I walk into the dealership & purchase. I'm located in CA by the way. Thx in advance for your input.
As a price guide, look at fitzmall.com and find the model you want. Then look a the price...(which includes shipping) They usually are the deal to beat. Many dealers will match their price, especially in today's economy.
Granted, the 2010 models are not yet available, so you'll have to wait a few weeks to find what they will charge for a 2010.
Back when gas was expensive, I paid about $26,500 for my 2007 hybrid that has a moonroof, heated mirrors, color-keyed mud guards, floormats/trunkmat, and bodyside moldings. It retailed for about $28,000.
I bought a 2008 LE today from a Mercedes dealer who had gotten it in trade-in. It had been there about two weeks, and nobody wanted to buy it because it was mixed in with these "elite" automobiles. It has 14,500 miles on it,and all the regular goodies associated with an LE ! It also came with a Kenwood DNX 5120 navigation system, which I thought was pretty neat. It's for my wife, and I went the extra mile,so to speak, and had both Experian and Carfax report, along with getting an independent inspector in to go over it with a fine tooth comb. With TTL,and inspectors fees figured in,I paid $17,100 for it. Wrote the check, drove it the 100 miles home, and LOVE IT!! It is pristine, and all my wife could say was,"My lord,it's brand new"! Well, not exactly, but as close as you can get.
I just recently bought my 2009 Toyota Camry Le Silver for 21,100 OTD. I think I could of gotten it for lesser price if I was more persistent with the bargain. Yours should be around there with the SE models. With the economy, I think you can get a hell of a deal if you wait for september or october because they'll have crazy sales. I don't think you should pay no more than 22,000 for the SE OTD.
One piece of advice, don't let those damn sales man tell you the price. Do your homework and if they don't agree to YOUR price, WALK OUT THE DOOR. Also use other dealership against them. Most of the dealership will match the price of other dealership because they want your business. I went 3 days and finally bought it.
If you can wait till September or October, I think you can save yourself 500 or 1000 bucks. The end of year sales are always the best.
Good Luck man and be patient. Don't let those damn salesman get to you or else they'll win.
