I keep on reading in magazines that hypergrouds are supposed to give you 5-15 hp and tq. I was wondering if any of you out there spent the $100+ on it or know of anybody who has. Supposedly it also supposed to lower interference in your audio system and make your lights brighter, which is also pretty damn cool. Well, let me know what you think...I am thinking of buying me a set. thanks....
It looks like it gives a few extra hp to me(from every dyno I have ever seen done with it). People are quick to diss on it an you probably can come up with something cheaper but the hp/dollar ratio is decent. Lets say you spend 100 for the cable and get a consistent 3whp plus the other benefits. Many people go out and buy 400 dollar headers and exhausts systems and get similar results but nobody says a word about that. I don't think it's a waste of money.
By the way, there is no way you are gonna get 5 to 15hp from them. I have seen a good 4hp increase in different places in the powerband on some dynos though and that is not bad for 100 bucks.
every magazine seems to think its good. My lights are dim; my car could always use more power, theres more audio interference than I would wish; and my car only gets 16.75 miles to the gallon. If these wires does everything it claims its like a dream come true.
I think people were also saying monster cables would work too. And do you think it would have more of an effect on older cars due to technology and corrosion?
yea you can do it yourself, but i dont' see it being done for under $20, not if ou get good wires, and good connectors/terminals, and especially not if you decide to do it through a nice distribution block, but it will definitely be much less than $100. I thi nk a good custom DIY setup would be more towards $50
