I wouldn't bother. The 3sge is a better performance engine. Just modify that. In fact, the only thing you should use the 3sfe for is to sell it so you can have more money to make your 3sge even more powerful.

Edit: Or better yet, Why don't I just give you my low mileage 3sfe and you can give me your 3sge. Then you can experiment with low end torque all you want.

for a couple hundread bucks you can put together a turbo setup, i think that's about all the 3sfe's got going for it (for cheap that is)

If you have the whole engine and it is only a "fun" project for you then why not just build the bottom end up and I can build the head up for you and you can either sell the motor to someone with a 2nd gen camry or you can put it in something and see how well it performs. It is real easy to build up a 3sfe if you know what parts you need so if you build up the whole thing let me know I can help you out I am pretty good at 3sfe's.
