Unhappy Driver Side Door Lock Jam...Help!

I have a 1990 Toyota Camry wagon. Today, I got in my car and locked the doors as always. When I tried to get out, i pressed the unlock button and all my other doors would unlock except for the driver's side. It would try and lift up a little bit, but not enough to unlock. I also can not pull it up to unlock it. From the outside, I can't unlock this door either. Does anyone know what to do with this? Is there some simple remedy I can try like WD-40, so I don't have to go to the mechanic? Note: It's extremely cold here, windchill below zero and snowing, could that have anything to do with my problem?
Thanks,
Kira

I have a 96 camry and my locks would freeze every morning, try getting hot water and pouring it on the lock, that should make it work, then i put a silicone lubricate in since it won't freeze and after that i put alittle bit of wd-40 to keep every thing lubricated. My locks havent frozen since.

spray in some lock de icer, or some winshield washer fluid, then maybe a tiny bit of wd40 and work it though, hopefully that won't freeze too

Just to let you know the DeIcer stuff works better as a preventive measure.

I had the same problem with my rear left lock. Unfortunetly the lock stopped working while it was in the "Locked" position. That sucked because in order for me to take the door off, I have to have access to the screws on the side of the door.

I had to take the backseat out, BREAK the lock from the side. Then open the door and change the lock motor. It sucked. You can get it fixed for around 75 bux including new motor.

That used to happen to me when we lived in Chicago. I just sprayed WD-40 on the key and turned it several times in the lock as well as used the small straw to spray some in the lock mechanism on the side of the door. I sprayed it on the metal part of the door pillar too. WD-40 is supposed to help "displace" moisture, so this seemed to help prevent any further freezing. I also bought a disposable lighter to warm the key up a little before inserting it the lock, but I didn't have to use it after the WD-40.
