2010 new I4, 2.5 Engine Timing

Does anyone know if the new 2.5L I4 engine in the new 2010 Camry uses a timing chain instead of a replacable timing belt? I was told the 2009 2.4 engines all use a timing chain, making the timing belt requirement no longer necessary. I hope the new 2.5L engine has a chain as well.

4 cylinder Camry has had timing chains since 2003, and I am sure the 2010 will continue with a chain. All new Toyota engines have chains.

I believe Toyota first introduced timing chains with the new '98 Corolla equipped with the 1ZZ. The 4-cylinder Camrys have had timing chains since 2002. The new 2.5L I4 also uses a timing chain, so nothing to worry about there.

Toyota's V6 engines continue to use timing belts, like the 3.5L 2GR in the new Camrys.

Nope....3.5 does not use a belt. Chain for that one too. Belt/chain combo on the 5.7l but no belt on the 3.5l.

Thanks for your responses to my original question. I have a 2004 Sienna which has a timing belt. The maintenance requirement say it has to be replaced at 90,000 miles, or 6 years, whichever comes first. I will only have about 35,000 miles when it is 6 years old, but will have to spring for the $300 belt replacement. I have heard the V6 in the new Sienna's went back to timing chains. Being an interference engine, I don't dare skip the recommendation of the belt replacement.
