USA Not getting as many miles out of a tank of gas

I have a 99 XLE Camry with 124k miles that was getting about 360-380 miles or so to a tank of gas. But in the last few months I have only been getting about 250 miles per tank it's a 18 gallon tank. I have had my oil changed tire presure is right and I had and a tune up the only thing I have noticed is my engine light came on and they told me that it was and air sensor flow valve that cost $500 bucks and only came from dealer. They said it was fine to let it go and that the only issue was passing the emission testing that we use to have in Maryland which we no longer have to worry about in South Carolina. We take good care of our cars and I would love to get some help on this before taking my car to the shop as I feel like if you have and idea they are less likely to treat you like a idot. This site is great and thank you in advance for all the great help!!!

If the part is the Mass Airflow Sensor (MAF) the website below offer aftermarket and Toyota parts are much cheaper prices.

Rockauto

Rockauto recently had a TN post with a number to use for 5% off on their parts.

If you want Toyota parts try Ben Bridge mail order parts. They offer parts Toyota parts at a very good discount from list price.

The part is easy enough to install yourself.

The autozone websites vehicle repair section may have info on this or post here.
