This is a debatable subject. I personally love my Brembo cross drilled rotors. Very good heat dissipation and good performance under heavy and repeated braking as a result.
Some others will argue that you are reducing the surface area to which the brake pads can grab the rotor, hence decreasing braking performance. Theoretically that makes sense but I think the pros of having it outweigh the cons.
