I owned a 90 camry. Recently all four tail lights (model 1157) failed to light up when I turned on the headlight. However, the stop lights worked fine. I checked the bulbs and they all looked well and the fuse was fine. Where should I further check? Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.
same thing here, i have a 93 camry. Turned out I had a short that was blowing the fuse to my taillights. The short was coming from a wire touching my parking light wiring.

Having the same problem... all the wires looked fine though. Replaced the bulbs since they were blown and still nothing. Checked all the fuses and they seem to be fine. Is there more than one fuse box in the 97 camry

For the life of me... I can not find the other fuse box. I know there's one in the engine compartment but it seems none of the fuses are blown and suppose to be one between the pedals and the steering ... somewhere in that area i 'spose, but there is'nt. Any other possible locations, because it's not in any of my manuals .
It'd be dangerous as hell driving up to jersey with all my taillights out... i need to get this fixed ASAP

i'm suprised you needed a haynes manual for that....check those fuses and don't make the mistake i did....i put the fuse back in the wrong space and was wondering why my tails weren't working...that could also be the problem...so check if you put all the fuses where they belong according to the chart.
I have a 97 Camry also... There is another fuse box down by your left knee, when you open it first, it looks like a little change compartment, but pull that out and there is a fuse panel behind that.
I did'nt touch any fuses period. I just opened the engine compartment fuse box and look at the fuses one by one to see if they were blown.
Thank you YounginDrivein, I never thought about pulling the change thingy out did'nt wanna break anything else... enough little things are breaking on my car as it is The little clip that holds the rod that holds the hood up is broken, the little black nub that retains the gas cap door is broken, etc and so on.. stupid little things

OK changed the stupid fuse this morning and still nothing. I'm wondering what the hell it could be now.... . I'll pick around the fuse box later and see what else might be blown.
