Toyota TV Commercial Camry w/ mods - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums

Just saw a Toyota TV advertisement with a Gen. 5 Camry parked in the driveway. The father and son are talking and sitting the front seat. When they show the Camry its got body mods. Is Toyota now putting these on '04s Camrys in the US? The mods look like the type I've seen in Camry pics from Australia. Are these body mods available in the US?

im in australia and the latest camry is called the camry sportivo... they look pretty good standard as they come but i bet alot of us on this forum could think of some extra things to make em better

Starting in 04, the bolt on body kits are an factory option. Price is around 900-1000 dollars. However, rear spoiler is an factory option now, whereas it came standard on an SE before.

I'm kinda not sure about these kits, they are bolted on, with little gaps evident between the body and the kit, and I looked at them up close at a dealer, but I don't think I want to put those on while driving in winter weather. Salt can get inside and start eating the body between the kit and the actual body. (Not the front and rear bumper, those are plastic)

Of course, if you ask the dealer, they'll tell you that it's fine. They wanna squeeze more money out of you no matter what. What do they care.

Toyota Canada has had them as bolt on options for a year now! About time that make it down here....

choose camry, and go look under accessories (then customize) to see pics'.....

Thanks for the info. Just a question of priorities with the funds. Tinting and lowering are more likely for now, that is if my wife's chevy or the IRS don't suck it from me.
