the best solution to your tire spin problem would be a limited slip differential, to put even amounts of power to both tires. as far as suspension goes, you could use some whiteline springs. eibach and intrax are also good. also if you replace the springs, struts would be a very good idea as well. it would near eliminate the take-off type feel from rearing back when you floor it. the best performance solution is probably a coilover setup.
I hate to sound cynical, but how did you manage to turbo your car, and not know about the possibility of an LSD. (based upon you not mentioning anything about it).

LSD will probably help some. Don't just think about the back being stiffer... having more resistance in your front will help as well. Rear to prevent squatting, front to prevent hopping. Grippier tires for sure will help, but if your location "ME" is for Maine, you might not want to do that during the winter
get ur springs and struts replaced for a start.... i found i have reduced squatting when i shoot off the line.. but as he wise oldman said ... ... u should learn to reduce the spin off the line which will result in a better takeoff leaving the big cubic inches behind!
Getting wider tires helps too. I went from 185/70's to 205/60's on my 2nd gen and that help out tremendasly on traction. Also when you are going off the line you can't just floor it you have to baby it off the line so you wont get spinning and then floor it. Anyone that is a good driver can tell you that it isn't just about going wide open as soon as the light turns green. There is actual skill involved.
it dosent really light'em up off the line when i come in to boost thats when the tires brake free, and as for the tranes its an automatic, gen 2
oh and "hummm how about you learn how to drive and not spin tires off the launch, that's pretty much the basis of racing" why dont you make a car that can spin them off the line, befor you tell others how to drive

You know why do you ask for help if you are just going to trash people. If you just trash the people that try to help you then stop asking the questions. Also The only car I have owned that I couldn't spin the tires is my 89 camry. My 88 camry can spin the tires very easily and if you don't beleive me then how about your sorry ass come out here and I Will race you and I will still beat you with a car that is NA and an auto. Also I have owned a 3rd gen celica that I could easily spin the tires and my 81 celica that I have now I could spin the tires and that was with a clutch that could only grip in 1st and 2nd so I know how to freaking drive. Just because you can spin the tires doesn't mean crap it is having the power to spin them and not spinning them is the skill and obviously you don't have any skill.
lol, wow so this is what happens when you are better then some one...like me im better then oldman, so insteed of him fighting his own fights he has some one ells do it.....big man. i ask the Q and then i get trashed by oldman so WTF is that all about?
