Hi,

My 2000 Camry has 175,000 kms on it. Whe I turn on the car, the ABS light on the dashboard starts flashing (not ON continuously). The light, however, stops flashing when the car is running. The light starts flashing again when I stop at a signal, holding the brake pedal down.

What could be the problem?

Had a 95 with same issue. Go to the mechanic and have him check the sensors. If one has an issue it will trigger that light regardless and potentially stop ABS from working properly if thats and issue for you.

With my 95 I didn't care about the sensors, just drove without ABS with no prob
