Hi I have a gen 4 toyota camry. I would like to know if I could increase the sound of the exhuast by adding an exhaust tip. Right now its the exhaust that came with it. So yeah. I don't want to buy a whole exhuast system because in about a year i will be purchasing an rsx.
Just a muffler will give you sound, and won't be as expesive as an entire exhaust... or, if you don't put the tips on correctly, they could rattle and give you some noise

First off...why do you want a louder Camry if your ain't changed your exhaust/intake? If anything.....getting rid of your resonator will result in a louder/deeper tone. Yes, there are tips that are sold abroad that i've seen that wistle and make a deeper tone...but those are mock exhausts tips...
tips dont change airflow....if you want more sound you need to change the muffler or some other aspect of the exhaust system before the tips that will alternate the exhaust flow. the only tip that may give you a diffference is a mandrel bent dump tip but it must be welded falt against the exiting muffler and matched to you current holes....
just get a new muffler....you'll be more happy....not all cars look good with the mandrel bent tip...
hey people....
i have a question, im going to buy an apexi n1 universal muffler with the 90mm tip and probably have the muffler dude do some custom piping for me......as for the custom piping, should i get 2.5 inch or what? and also how loud would be the muffler be? i dont wanna get pulled over by cops, lol....
anyways i think the muffler comes with a silencer( i hope)
for all this....how much would the guy charge me for the labor?
i dont wanna be getting ripped off... so any ball park estimates?
thx
yea the inlet is probably 2.25 or 2.5... anyways what if i just stick with the stock'ed piping? wont it reduce the noise?
meaning ill just have the exhaust installed and no piping...
cuz i heard if u get custom piping, it will make more noise
