guys please HELP (down pipe) 4 cyc

Hey guys, I have a 1998 toyota camry 4 cyc, my flex section broke in the downpipe, I got a quote of $500 with labor for the new downpipe, I was hoping to fix it myself by just getting a new flex section and have a friend weld it on, my question is, does anyone know what size the pipe is 2in or 2 1/2?

thanks for you time

Dude if you can't take the piep off right now then do the following:

Measure the distance going all the way around the pipe (wrap the measuring tape around the pipe)

Take that length and divide it by 3.14

Then take the result of that and multiply it by 2 and you'll have the diameter of you pipe.

Hope that helps.

Circumference of a circle is 2(pi)r thus the diameter, d, is 2r. So all you need to do is divide the circumference by pi or as luisitol said 3.14

edit: pi symbol was replaced by something weird
