How do you read the a/f ratio? The best should be high in low-rpm then low in high-rpm?

You guys are lucky... I wish I could have an A/F ratio gauge too. I like Dickson's, its so pretty!

Actually the graphs are from the dyno place, they just tapped a certain wire for the A/F ratio to speed readings, but he does have an S-AFC which shows A/F ratio on it. But with just a gauge, theres not much you can tune unless you got someone there who can tune your ECU directly (yoshio).

Theoretically you want stoich all the way through. Stoich is about 14:1 to 15:1 ... Anything higher than and it is considered lean.

The A/F ratio curve varies from car to car and location. Everything is based on the stoichiometric principle. Stoich vairies basend upon thermal variations, enigne condition, engine RPM, humidty, elevation, ...ect. This is why it takes more than one try to dyno tune a car to the S-AFC. My car took 5 tries.

Tapping the O2 sensor wire is does no good as the stock O2 sensor is not as accurate as a wideband O2 sensor at the dyno place. Basically they stick a probe up the exhaust and that is how they get the A/F ratio.

S-AFC does not show A/F ratio. It shows AFL percentage. Basically it is the readin from the MAF sensor that tells the ECU the volume of air coming into the intake. It does not show fuel at all just air volume.

I do have an A/F gauge and let me tell you it is useless with a capital U. Once I find a better gauge, this one is up for sale. I have to admit though, it does look pretty. LOL!

A/F gauges are completely useless, I don't see how it can be accurate having a little led running around, but thats just me, if you guys really wanna measure youre a/f ratio get an EGT, yes its expensive, but its also very accurate.

The A/F gauge is alright as long as you have a wide-band o2 sensor in the car...

I can't complain because I don't have the dough to get a EGT sensor installed.
