After the E

Does anyone know how much liters of petrol is left after the needle passes the E mark. ?? 3s-fe camry

You don't go by that, you go by the Low Fuel light, which I think is typically 8-10 Liters when it comes on.

hmmm. interesting.... and when does the 'low fuel light' illuminate... right now i'm on dead on the E mark and it hasnt shown it's face yet... is it usually after the mark ?

other than allowing the engine to run out of gas, how else could i know if my Low Fuel Light works?

what does it for me is if the car is parked facing an uphill. even if i know there is still a fair chunk of gas in there, the low fuel light is triggered. i guess that could be a factor of how the sensor inside the gas tank is positioned.

okay, i'll try that. but if the light doesnt illuminate, and it's no a blown bulb, how would one replace that sensor ?

i think that may require significantly more work than it's worth. just refill whever you're nearing the quarter tank mark... it's the recommended thing to do anyway.
