USA Buying a Toyota Camry 2001

I'm looking to buy a Toyota Camry 2001 LE V6. I've reviewed consumer reports and looked over the pricing on KBB.com; however, what are the major issues other owners have had with this car?

So far I've been able to dig up problems with the water pump and timing belt at about 90,000...Any feedback would be appreciated.

Currently driving a Toyota Corolla DX 93' with 126,130 miles.

Recent work done:

New alternator, spark plugs, breaks

Current issue:

Too much pressure in engine is forcing oil to leak out onto engine.

I don't think there are many common problems on the gen 4.5.. However - do make sure that regular oil changes were done on the car as the V6 is a little more sensitive to that. The timing belt and water pump (I'd also do the various seals and drive belts at the same time) are not really "problems" rather routine maintenance at 60-90K miles.

The Camry should be an excellent upgrade from your Corolla and should serve you well for many years to come. I have to say, Toyota knows how to make a good V6 engine.. I have to restrain myself from speeding!

Ah thanks for the clarification and advice. I'm looking to buy the Camry 2001 repair manual, but do you know of any good websites with the same information?
