How do I tell if my Camry is made in USA?
I just bought my first Camry (1998 LE) less than a week ago! So I'm anxious to start fixing it up to my taste. I've noticed several parts suppliers claiming this or that part is for "USA built" Camrys or Toyotas. I assume one can learn where their car was assembled by a code in the VIN or on a door tag or something. So, I'd love to be able to find out where my Camry was assembled so I can order some parts (RH front window motor, in particular) and get on with the process of polishing this lil jewel up a bit! Thanks for any help anyone may be able to lend!

I would suppose that the logical thing would to look on the inside the driver's door panel where the tire PSI is listed.

Good enough, Desentrix! Sounded logical to me, so I went and checked and sure enough it said "Kentucky" on that sticker. Mystery solved! Thanks for the quick reply!

If the VIN starts with 4T it's US, if it starts with JT, it;s Japan.
