95 Camry 1MZ-FE Cam Pulleyremoval nightmare

Greetings,
I have a 1995 Camry V6 LE with the 1MZ-FE engine. I'm replacing the water pump and timing belt. The crankshaft pulley had lock tite the legnth of the bolt and was to say the least a nightmare! Broke that one free but I am have the same kind of trouble with the camshaft pulleys. They aren't reverse threads are they? The crankshaft was not. Any remedies?

You need that. You CAN make your own cheap one using a 2x4 or a big piece of metal.

Went to Lowes and bought a piece of iron pipe. Hope it works. I guess leverage built the pyramids, it should break a couple of bolts free. Thanks for your reply

Not having an extra set of hands to help, I made this tool to prevent the cam pulley (2vzfe) from turning. I used whatever scrap metal and parts I had in my garage. On one pulley I chained the tool onto the sway bar. On the other pulley it was attached onto one of the PS bolts. I used a breaker bar and impact socket pulled tight then hit the end of the breaker bar with a 4 lbs hammer. Took a few raps then broke loose.
