My engine thermometer is broken

The stupid thing isn't working properly, so I need to fix the mo fo. anyone know where it is? And is this something easy to replace?

What do you mean ? It is not giving you a good engine temperature ? Then it's the temperature sending unit. There's a kind of metallic water passage right of your engine (cylinder head), close to the distributor on which there are 2 sensors : it should be the one on the right (not the green one but the other). It is super easy to replace (no more than 2 minutes) and it's not that expensive. I hope it helps

Just so you know, if your temp shows too low or too high, it may also be your thermostat. The thermostat housing is located on the bottom left side of the motor (in the 5SFE) and is the big tube that the bottom radiator hose connects to. If you are running too cold, it is because your thermostat isn't staying open the way it should be. This will cause the coolant in the radiator to get really cold and dump into the engine. If you are running too hot, it may be because your thermostat is just not opening.
