Looking to trade my 05 for a 10...

so, I have a 05 XLE 6 cyl with factory Nav and has about 85k. Am looking at trading it for a 2010 same as above with Nav. My question is this. Those of you who have gone in to buy, are the Dealers budging on their prices?

it is either trade or do the timing belt/water pump and other stuff that will be needed...

I deal with Toyota in Auburn, WA

I'd say unless you get a killer deal on the 2010, to stick with your current Camry if it is performing just fine, considering the economy and stuff.

my 05 also has that crappy tranny issue. I must say I am highly surprised at Toyota even having any issues...

Careful

I just bought a 2010 Camry LE automatic and am having transmission issues...see my previous thread on the Camry Gen Discussion page....the 2010's have the new 6-speed transmission and mine is not shifting smoothly in low speed, stop-and-go type driving...dealer, so far, says "its designed that way to help the car slow down" but I don't think a new Camry should have noticable/erratic shifting at low speeds...taking it back to drive another 2010 to see if they all do it...if you do drive a 2010, dont do a short test drive...and drive at low speeds a lot to see the performance of the tranny in stop and go, slow situations...

I got a loaded model...sunroof, alloy wheels, upgraded stereo w/ satellite radio, leather seats, lip spoiler...the MSRP was about 28k...I got it for about 24k so yea they came down...probably could have gotten them lower on a 2009, they had tons left and wanted me to try to deal on a 2009 but i wanted the upgraded engine and 6 speed transmission on the 2010 so I got one of the few they had off the truck...now, I hope the 2010 transmission wasn't a bad move! We'll see...
