Head Lamp conversion on a 4th gen

My current headlights look all fadded out and ugly. Is it possible to take the head lamps off of a 2001 camry and bolt them on a 97?

Gen4.5 headlight is not going to fit on Gen4, I believe this question had been asked a few times before. (Correct me if I'm wrong)

If you use the search button, you should find instructions here on how to take off the headlight assembly and clean it.

yea this has been discussed many times before,

the final conclusion was that you have to mod the bumper, grill, and a bunch of stuff to force them to fit.

Price dun really matter to me I just wanna make my baby look nice...but that sucks that you can't fit the 2001 clear lights on an older model. One would think you could casue they look almost the same but personally I don't like the texture head lamps makes a car look ugly up in front...the clear head lamps makes a car look clean...

^ if price don't matter, then get a new pair of headlamps and do a HID projector retrofit.

even if you were to do it you would have to change out the hood fenders and front bumper.

clean that bitch first...

I use rubbing compound to clean my headights...but when they really get dirty (like my gen 4), then i use this PLASTX, it restores plastic lenses...externally....

Click here to know what i'm talking about

^^^^ That's the solution right there if money doesn't matter, those are diamond clear JDM headlamps that will directly fit your '97 Camry.

As mentioned, I recieved a quote for $430 a pair......then again, you'd probably be the only guy with them around so it may be worth it

Keep in mind that if you do HID, that the JDM lamps are designed to light up the left side of the road because of righthand driving..........so you do run the risk of blinding oncoming drivers, but you could always add a strip of sheet metal inside to block that light.
