Before the flames ignite this is not a how to swap post.... This is Where in the hell can I find Shift Linkage Clutch Pedal (Pedal kit) Clutch master cylinder and lines.... I know there is people in here that have done this swap.... what I want to know is where did you get your parts and if you know of anywhere I can find them because I cannot for the life of me find a 5spd camry I have heard of 6th gen celica parts working but wasnt sure and well havent found them yet either lol... However I do have a 5th gen celica all trac here which I have pulled the motor from and tranny... I just didnt want to use the tranny as well its awd (not that big of deal) This is all that is standing in the way of me driving my car with the 3sgte in it and well the nice weather is coming fast and I need this done... IF anyone knows where to find the needed parts I will throw you a finders fee gladly... Let me know
go to your local junkyard and look around. make sure you get camry stuff or you will have to MAKE everything work. i learned that the hard way. start by looking for a 92 or 93 v6 manual tranny. if they have that, then find out if they have the car that it came out of. you can also try 94 4cyl manual... same deal. if they have the car that it came out of, then you should be able to go down and pull the pedals off... you need clutch and brake pedals... bring with you a 10 and 12 mm wrench and 10 and 12 deep sockets with an extension too... you will need to remove the brake booster to get the master cyl off. you need the wrenches for that, and the sockets for the pedals inside.
for the tranny, if you can find one from a 98-02 solara v6 manual then that tranny is the best to use, next is the 97-01 camry v6 manual tranny (for less age) last choice is the 92-93 v6 camry manual.
you can get the clutch line from that same car that you get the pedals from. either that or if you want a hard line all the way instead of the rubber in the middle, then go to the autoparts store and ask them for a long clutch/brake line for a toyota they should have a 60cm line and they can rent you a smal tubing bender (autozone). thats what i did.

Solara axles should be fine...
Yes, any parts from an ES300 will fit. Same goes for 4-cyl misc parts also... like shifter, linkage, pedals, etc...
Also.. some parts are worth ordering new from the dealer, like shifter cables, tranny mount, and clutch master cylinder. Its piece of mind knowing your getting new pieces, and not ones that are about to die, or rusty, or whatever. Dont gamble on a clutch master cylinder, its a replacable part - just like a PCV valve or spark plug - albeit not as often. Also, I wouldnt gamble on a broken tranny mount unless you plan on filling it with urethane, and shifter cables - your call, but i know how good a new pair feels, and its worth it if you wanna do the swap right.
car-part.com will not find odd little parts, but you can call the yards that come up in searches to see if they have not junked the whole car yet. then you can go pilfer the parts you need, for virtually nothing. they never intend to sell that stuff, so it would be really cheap.
you can use an mr2 tranny, but you need a different linkage assembly. its not worth it, just use the camry or solara one instead.
Originally posted by WickedWerx will es 300 parts work I found one of them local with a v6 manual with pedals and shifter....
yes. i just looked them up, and the part numbers at least for the clutch pedal and its bracket are the same, for all the 3rd and 4th gen camry and clones (solara and ES). most of the other stuff should interchange too. to be sure just go to your toyota dealer, and have them look up the part numbers. then they can do a reverse search to see what that part number applies to.
Thanks for the help guys I just found all the parts and the tranny for 400. You guys really helped me out finally I can finish up this damn swap so I can get the body work and paint done... Ill be in touch
99 Solara trans. 94 pedal and shiftlinkage master cylinder slave cylinder... not using master and slave bought new master and slave and gonna go with your idea on hard tubing for them... One last question.... If i can mate the two together does that mean I can use the clutches available for the mr2 with the solara trans?
