Maybe this is the same, maybe not. With any luck someone will be able to solve both our problems.

Sometimes when I'm starting the car (before the temp needle is all the way to 1/2) my e-brake light will sometimes stay on. Especially really cold mornings (in the 30s-40s F).

Any ideas? I'm thinking it has something to do with the brake fluid or lines, but I am no expert by any stretch.

Check your brake fluid level. This may be the problem. Top it off to the "Max" line and see if the light goes away.

Yes MenaceSQL, its def. brake fluid level. I have been known to use the ebrake alot for fun and one day the light came on and then would go away when the ebrake wasnt pull up. Eventually it stayed on all the time and I got really worried. Took it to my mechanic and he said brake fluid was low.
