Center Console Shifter Light Replacement

I have a 1998 Toyota Camry XE and recently the lamp that illuminates the gear shift indicator on the Center Console has quit working/burned out. I would like to see if anyone knows how to remove and replace. Any help wpuld greatly be appreciated.

changing the bulb is very very simple as it simply twists off and the new buld will twist back on.

you will however, need to pull out the centre console and remove the gauge cluster to get to it

I just changed out the bulb on my 96 to a red LED at the same time that I "shortened" my A/T shift lever and changed out the shift knob. I already had the factory shift knob off so it was easy to get the cover with the gear indicators off. The bulb in mine was a 194, but I'm not sure if it will be the same for a 98. One you get that off, it's a pretty straight forward remove and replace.
