Check Engine

I have a 2000 Toyota Camry and the check engine light came on this morning. I know that with the last vehicle I owned, I could access the P-code myself, by using a certain procedure (turning the key back and forth a number of times, etc.) Does anyone know of a way to do that with my Camry?

You need to plug in a code reader.

Go to Autozone. They do it for free

I took it to Autozone, got two codes,

P0446
and
P1150

the guy seemed to think that one might be something simple (gas cap?) and the other is some other sensor.....any clues??

How is your battery? The reason I ask is because I got the P1150 code when my battery was dying. Changed the battery and it never came back.

P0446 - Evaporative Emission System Vent Control Circuit

P1150 - A/F Sensor Circuit Range/Performance Malfunction-04

Search for the codes. You may find your answer here.

Good luck,

Sam

Battery seems fine, but I have only owned the car for a couple of weeks.........starts and seems to run fine, but I am noticing a bit of "hesitation" when first accelerating............
