took the car in to see about a trade locally. I have a 05 Camry XLE 6 cyl with Nav/leather and 85,000 miles. 1 small-medium scrape in back, a couple windshield dings and scuffs. Was offered $8,800.

anyone have any contacts in the Seattle/Tacoma area?

Ouch. That's usually the case wihen trading your car in though - they need to spend $$ reconditioning the car and still leave room for their own profit. If you haven't changed the timing belt/water pump, that's another deduction.

Edmunds lists the value of your car being $9860 in "fair" condition. A relative of mine is looking for a Corolla/Camry in the Lynnwood area. Is your Camry equipped with side airbags?

no issues with the car except for 1 small scrape and scuff marks. Car has been serviced at the Dealer and it is coming up on the 90k service. I asked Service and was told timing belt + waterpump is $800 with a possible 20% off coming up soon. Am not planning on doing the 90k service as alot of it is bull.. Was advised to just change the plugs and do a radiator flush.

I am planning on seeing about another car up in Seattle. I like trading out my cars as I don't like the hassle of selling. Car is fully loaded, never smoked in and 1 owner.

Okay.. Let me know. The private value party for your car is more like $10-13K (the upper end being in really good condition) - if you can get a good trade-in on it though, might as well just do that like you said.

I have a 2005 Camry myself and it's been great. Only thing was because I have an early-built '05, the steering intermediate shaft had to be replaced @ $450 because it was making noise and it felt loose or something. There's a TSB out but I was out of warranty so I had to pay out of pocket.

What color is your Camry BTW?

I am gonna wait a bit. I found a car that I am interested in looking at but it is up in Seattle and I am running 110% with work...
