Worn outer CV Joint--what should be replaced?
I'm taking it to a place in Manassas, Va--the only area around with actual good car shops and not just overpriced Goodyears and Pep Boys--and I'm gonna need them to fix up my car in so far as taking care of the CV joint. So that I don't sound retarded over the phone and simply sound retarded here instead, what exactly should I ask for ordering/replacing? The right front axle (that's the only one that's bad)? The whole front axle? The transaxle? I plan on getting the other three boots inspected while I'm at it.
I'll probly get it fixed in the next couple weeks and then be all like 'Ha, screw you slight chance of wheel flying off of the car at high speeds!'
