3sfe rebuild and trans?

Dear God, here I go again. I thought I was gettin an 04 Cavalier for a good deal at my work, but Id have to have insurance in my name with full coverage, which wud run me bout 380/month. So ya, no. Im stickin with the Cam. Ive veen think about getin it back into shape for spring. Any idears on places I can get engine rebuild parts, or rebuilt/remanufactured trannies? Im thinkin Jegs under the Celica parts. Any other place I can try, other than the toyo dealer? Even though I work at a Chevy dealership, I dont know if I can get discounts form other dealers. AC delco parts I can get for about 60% off, but they dont have much for the 3sfe. But I cud sworn I read or heard about some 3sfes bein sold for 800 bux, j-specs. can anyone back this up? That seems like a good deal.

Or if anyone has an engine/parts they got layin around (block, heads mainly), IM or email me.

Another thing Im lookin for is paintable bumpers. I got the DX ones that are flat black and not paintable. I think the other ones got fiberglass ones that u can paint the body color. I tried doin that to mine, but it cracked like a mutha and no one round here that I know does good fiberglass work.

$800 is probably for the engine, tranny, ecu, wiring harness, etc..

I've seen just the engine (longblock) go for around $200.

The stock painted bumpers are urethane just like the unpainted ones.

It your going to have the black ones painted make sure whoever paints it mixes in a flex agent with the paint.

I got a spare head if you want it. Fully rebuilt. I can even have it slightly port and polished up for you, if you want.

Don't really know what its worth, but I don't need it for myself. Just FYI.

i know a guy at the junk yard he has a 5sfe that he pulled from a t-boned cam still runs but the dumb shit cut the harness i can find out what he wants for it
