I finished the custom gauge pod installation on my 96 gen3. I installed a pod for my boost & EGT gauges. If you want to see pics, go to the link below. The entire site is still in development, but it is getting closer to complete.

Go to Installations and then click on the top link for the pod install. The page takes a little while to download. I put the pictures inline with the text. I know this is probably a bad idea for people with slow links. I will change this later.

Let me know if you have opinions.

Looks great man! I wish I had the patience to actually mold the sucker in.

Couple of questions:

1. How well does the heat gun work in shaping the pod?
2. Where did you get the colour match interior paint?

thnks,

Looks like lots of work there to get it installed.

I'm too lazy to do stuff like these... at least not with temperature of 8c...

The heat gun worked quite nicely. It was a Wagner heat gun usually used for stripping paint.I had it on a middle setting and it worked at a nice rate.

I got the paint matched at a local wallpaper & paint store that had a color matching computer. I think they're fairly common. Like I said in the how-to, they suggested using that toxic primer first, than the paint.

Nice! I'm going to do that on my car now. I've been meaning to do it for a while and have been waiting for better weather.

Luck you! I wish it was that "nice" here in Waterloo. I've worked on the Camry and the Mustang as well outside and its been windy and cold!

WOW, that is so clean. It looks 100% stock, as if Camrys came turbo! I am definately going to try this now. Nice right-up too.
