Help! Just today the rear brake lights on my 2006 Camry (63,000 miles) won't turn off, even with the car in park, car turned off and key removed! This same day, the cruise control no longer works, even though the dashboard indicates it is on. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Check the brake light switch and it's wiring at the brake pedal. Both those symptoms would indicate to me that it is stuck in the on position. The switch should be attached to the brake pedal assembly.

^ Good diagnosis. If the car thinks you're pressing the brakes, that explains why your CRUISE indicator is on but your cruise control does not engage.
