ride height weirdness

ok guys, I've unfortunately still got the stock springs in my car, cuz of the snowplow effect in the winter, but i've seen that everyone is talking about the finger gap that you get with the different lowering springs, something like 2 or three fingers or something. aside from the sexual connotations here, I find that really interesting cuz i went out and checked my gap with the stock springs and it's like my entire hand and a half in the front....if i had a three finger gap that seems like it would put my chasis on the ground, not to mention the body kit....u guys find that strange? someone give me some feedback cuz i wanna lower it this summer, but I don't want to drag just goin down the street...

hey...I've got intrax springs. They give me about a 1 - 1.5 finger gap. Car isn't draggin, but it is still really low to the ground. I can't clear a 12oz aluminum can if that gives you any visuals.

good luck with it

IMHO, lower is not necessarily better since I live where road surfaces are notoriously horrendous. So I went with a generally safe setup eibach/tokico.

Hey man,
I haven't lowered my car yet but from what I heard H&R makes some of the best springs out on the market. I'm gonna be getting a H&R/tokico setup very soon

i think airbags are usually some kinda custom thing...no bolt ons for a camry that i've seen. hey u guys that have lowered the cars, do you have body kits? and if so, what's the "drag factor" that you u encounter with a body kit, cuz without it bein lowered, i encounter a lot...

I've the TRD kit, and w/the eibachs, I can safely say it's almost impossible to scrape if you drive normally. It definately will not be a street cleaner.

Hey man,
I talked to a shop here in my town that does Air suspensions. You have to get Air Struts, air bags are more for lowrider trucks.
I'm looking at getting an Air suspension after I get my engine swap. The shop quoted me $3200 for everything including install for the Air Suspension. Just figured I'd let you know..............
