Question Trunk Stuck

So I just got this 92 Camry and the only thing that is wrong with it is the trunk being stuck. It wasn't hit or anything like that, I know that for sure. When you stick the key in it won't turn and when you pull the lever next to the driver's seat nothing happens. I was going to climb into the trunk from the rear seats this weekend but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or tips before I go in there and start taking things apart. Thanks.

how many keys came with the car? maybe try different keys that came with it. im not sure if you can lock the truck on a gen 3, but that may be the case, so youll need to unlock it with the master(not valet) key

if the handle won't open it, good chance it is stuck, you'll have to get in there by the rear seat, and see what's going on, probably a jammed mechanism

well, i crawled in the trunk through the rear seat today and got it open. I had to stuck my finger in the locking mechanism and flip the lever that releases the latch. I wasn't able to fix i permanently though. It seems that the main lever isn't making contact with the locking mechanism lever because it has slid out of alignment. It isn't secured down any way so there isn't any way for me to keep it from sliding again when I put it back together. I'll probably have to buy a new one from Toyota or something.

yeah, i tried the closest junk yard but they didn't have any Camry's that were even made in the 90's. I'll just have to keep an eye out.
