Starting problems
I am having an ongoing problem starting my car after it has been parked for 5+ hours. The problem occurs regardless of the weather or time of day, but more recently in the cold. In order to start the car, I have to press the accelerator down for a second or two so rpms surpass 3000 (as I turn the ignition). Otherwise, if I try to start the car, the rpms go up, but fall back down to zero. I don't think it's an electrical issue, since all the lights, windows, radio, etc. work... and the car eventually starts. Additionally, I replaced the battery recently.
Please give me any suggestions as to what might be wrong with my car. Any input is appreciated. Please let me know if anyone out there has encountered a similar problem.
Thank you.
