Unhappy bad vibes when driving

I'm at a complete loss as to what ta do. I have a 95 Camry auto sedan. Lately, when I drive I get an annoying and uncomfortable low rumble and vibration when the engine is driving, ie, not coasting. If I kick it into low gear to get the engine revs up the vibration goes, but as soon as it starts to get down around 2000rpm it starts to rumble and vibrate again.

I've recently had the front engine mount replaced and today had the rear engine mount replaced, but there is still no improvement.

Hope someone can help,

cheers,

DavidG

Heya, i have the exact same problem with my 95 camry, all is smooth until it hits 2000-2200 RPM. I was told my engine mounts needed replacing the front and the upper one (Dog bone). Have you checked your dog bone mount??? it may be cracked letting the engine vibrate around........ Interesting to see if anyone else has had a similar problem

I take it the 'dog bone' is the thing that has two round bits (one sitting horizontal, the other sitting vertical) with rubber mounts inside joined with a steel rod , located at the top of the engine.

Which part do you inspect to see if it is damaged, the rubber or the metal part.

heya ausdog... i live about 5 mins away from Macgregor drop me an email: cahalkeane@hotmail.com if ya wanna catch up about this problem. Yes the mount at the top of the engine is the dogbone one. Inspect the rubber to see if it has any cracks in it, if it does it needs replacing. These mounts cost 80 bucks and should be a DYI job. I am gonna have a go at replacing mine next week some time.
