Yeah, you guys really should start paying attention to the actual gallons on your fill up if you want to compare mileage...
I used to be able to get 37-38mpg on my gen2 4-cyl 5-speed on the highway, and I averaged just under 30 in more mixed driving. My 'new' Camry is turbocharged and still gets mid-high 20s... Then again, my WRX gets low 20's almost all the time, and low teens (like 13mpg or less) on the track...
Mileage depends on a lot of things - gas quality, air temp and humidity, driving style, engine size, engine age, transmission, etc...
You should only start to worry if there is a drastic change in the mpg you are getting (compare your car to itself in the past).
