American Toyota Vista?

I've got a question for all of the Gen2er's out there. A month ago I went to a local Orange County junkyard to look for the 89 camry gauge cluster with a tach. Once i found the right car I took out the cluster and noticed that the cluster had an abs light under the tach. I thought that only 91 gen2's were available with abs and this car was an 89 according to the gauge font and door jamb. Then when i walked around the car i saw that it had a vista badge on the back. I took the badge because i'd never seen one before. It had a 3sfe in it btw. Anyways i was wondering if the vehicle was merely misbadged in Japan or if it really was a vista. It was exactly the same as the usdm Gen2. Thanks for your insight.

I know the newer Vistas. They kinda look like the Windoms (ES 300) with 4 cylinder engines. The badge that you took off, the guy who had it probably just put the Vista badge on his gen 2. Jus like my cousins ES 300 5 speed, in which he put a Windom badge. The only Windom in NY i guess.
