I was installing indiglos and after which i now have the airbag light. Ive searched the forums and done exactly what the documentation says. Ground tc then ground AB and do this twice each grounding lasting approx 1 sec. Finally continually grounding tc. When i do this and i remove tc from ground the light just comes back up. Im using the diagnostic port under the dash. Would it be better to use the one in the engine bay? I have been using a booster cable to ground so i know this is an absolute ground. When i finish also the abs and cruise light blink does that mean anything? Thanks for any help.

How fast is the blinking...really fast, or like 1 second fast. If it's really fast, you're not doing it right...did you find the actual scanned pic on this forum?
yes im using the scanned pic with the timing diagrams. Its like two quick blinks and then pause then the same two quick blinks Could it be the wires im using?

I just used the wires from my multimeter and grounded them to my brake pedal...worked the second time I tried it.
Are you holding down the last ground? Make sure you do that in the last cycle...then it should start blinking consistently. The way your lights are blinking doesn't sound right.
As well, are you even sure these Camry instructions will work with your Supra?
I can't remember without doing it...it'll blink a few times consistently...but hold the ground until it stops blinking. I'm sure you've tried it at least 10 times or so eh? You're counting and stuff right? I don't know what to suggest anymore...it's just as easy as putting in the key, doing the grounding pattern cycle, holding it and that's it!? Try the engine bay port then....
The trick is to hold ground for approx 1/4 second not 1 second.
This was the the difference between success and failure!
Tried it 50 times with 1 second ground hold, got pissed, did it really fast, it worked!
Used the diagnostic port under the hood.

Hate to bring it up, but you have reset everything right? Including disconnecting the battery for XX minutes?
I am about to remove whole dash so will be going up against this bear shortly too.
^ No you don't have to reset everything...ie. you don't have to disconnect the battery for XX minutes.
I've taken out my gauge cluster at least 15 times so far without disconnecting the battery, and only once has the airbag like as come on. The reason is that the key is left in the ignition and so I believe that triggers it. Heck, maybe even keep the door closed as well...
They are right.... you do have to make sure you are doing the steps correctly. I just did mine on my lunch break and it took about 4 times bcos I wasnt doing what the instructions were telling me. I didnt really get it until I decoded the diagram provided.
Here's a easy-easy step thru (what I did at least):
1: make your connections to the TC and AB connectors using wires. I ran it from DLC1 bcos it was closer. Take the wire connected to TC in your right hand and the AB wire in your left.
2: The order is right hand (RH) for 1 second, Left Hand (LH) for 1 second, RH - 1 sec, LH - 1 sec, then RH for 60 sec to be safe.
And that should be it.
Be sure you switch between RH and LH fairly quickly but dont touch them on the ground at the same time (just to be safe).
If your negative pole on your battery is dull scrape the top off with your key to expose the shiny lead. This is where you want to touch the wire for the best possible contact.
Also, the wire I used was something like 18 gauge wiring and i soldered a thin metal strip to the end where it plugs into DLC1 just to be sure that there was proper contact.
When I was doing this procedure incorrectly, I saw the airbag warning light blink once and it remained on. I had to sit with the diagram and actually draw out what i had to do. It worked like a charm the first time once I did that. Hope this helped.
Again:
-use DLC1 and make sure the wire is making good contact.
-Turn key to ACC for at least 6 sec
-Take TC in RH; AB in LH
-Touch the NEG pole of your battery in the following order: RH, LH, RH, LH, RH (60 sec)
IT REALLY DOES WORK!!!
Thanks to Silver Streak's diagram and the help of my lovely fiance...
The steps tykelle mention above is the simplest explenation on how to do this procedure. I'd like to add some from my experience...
I experienced the blinking like boost3dSupra had... two blinks then pause. It means that you don't do it right (most likely your timing is off).
I'd recommend to do the procedure on DLC1 (the one on the hood), and have a cable long enough to reach the negative pole on the battery. No booster cable needed, just ground it on the battery.
I'm a VERY happy man now...
