the stick shift in my car is feelin' mushy. anyone got any suggestions on what I can do to get that crisp shifting feelin' again?

would any of the shifter parts from a Celica 87-91 fit in my car?

thanx everyone!

it could be one of your shift cables (or both) going bad. mine got really really mushy before it just broke one day and the car was stuck in 4th gear till i could either get out and manually switch the gear right on the tranny or get them replaced. i replaced the shift cables along with new brass bushings, and it feels nice and toight!

yea you really have to get down and dirty with your engine bay... you also have to take apart some of the center console as well.
