Well checked brake switch, it good. Got voltage to the switch- got no voltage at brake lights. Suspect broken wire. No voltage at hinge arm so trying to work my way back forward. Hot wire is red green in the trunk and at the switch. I have the harness broke open at the rear seat down by the floor and guess what --No red-green wire. Anyone have a schematic and can see if wires change colors or what.

Ok, figured this sucker out. Easest way to t/s no brake lights is to pull connector from light failure sensor (in left side trunk) check power from brake switch, then check continuity to brake lights from same connector. I had bad light failure sensor. Toyota wants $175 for this little jewel. I opened mine up and it had a broken solder trace. Soldered in a 22ga. jumper wire across he break. Go to go. I love brake lights!
