1st, turn the fucking caps lock off

if the engine is just a 3sfe, then yes you will have less power

get the engine code it could be good (3sge, 3sgte)

Damn, I think you pissed of Oldman
Anyway, I would say get another 5SFE 2.2L cause it would be cheaper and the people working on it will have no problem putting another 5SFE in.
My 2 cents

yeah 5sfe's are more common and pretty cheap get a JDM 5sfe maybe it has more power or something i have no clue (does JDM engines have more power) because if you get a 3sfe JDM it could be better then the American 5sfe

JDM motors have more power because their emisions are not as strict as ours

oh my god, i second the motion to turb the caps off...
now seriously, tell us what YEAR and MODEL it is... THEN we can know what engine will fit your car... if it is a gen 2, then go 3sge or 3sgte. if it is 92-93, go with a 3vz v6... i have some spare parts i might be able to hook you up with... if it a 94-2001 go with a 1mz, v6. i did this swap, and can help you with the wiring and stuff...

the 2.0l 3sfe is only good for a direct replacement in a gen 2. the 2.ol 3s-ge is a good performance NA engine. the 2.0L 3sgte is a good performance turbo engine. the 5sfe is a standard replacement for the 4cyl in gen 3 and 4. the 3.0L v6 3vz-fe is a good upgrade from a 4cyl for 92-93 models only. the 1mz-fe 3.0L v6 is a good stock upgrade for the 94+ camry with 4cyl.

replacing the engine with the same engine will cost you between 600-1200 for the engine, plus labor if you dont do it yourself. when you get into different engines, the cost rises, along with labor cost cause of longer work time. i just did a 4cyl to v6 swap in my 94 camry. it ended up costing me about 2500 bucks. it is the best performance mod ever for a stock 4cyl.

Japan has stricter emissions, but their engines burn cleaner and have no smog equipment on them.
