Of your list, in my Camry, the overhead light is too dim, the cupholders are too small, and not on your list: the shifter is large and ugly (automatic)

The interior has gotten progressively cheaper and cheaper.

My dad's owned gen1 & 3. I've owned a gen 2 & 4.

Each successive model gets more features, but they get the cost out also. I have plastic inside door handles, cheap fabric, less comfortable seats. Even gauge needles became plain white from gen4.

From gen5, it started getting a little better again, but in general, I wish Toyota spent just a little more money on the interiors.

On my 2009 RAV4 Limited, I have heated leather seats, leather steering wheel, nice looking metal accents, nice two-toned dash, but soon as I looked up, I saw where they got the cost out. It came with vinyl sun visors. :-(

2007 and 2010 -

Cupholders on the manual transmission - of the two between the front seats, you can only use the forward-most one if you have a short bottle or can, or the shifter will hit it in 2nd, 4th, or Reverse (or 6th for the 2010).

Interior is nicely laid out, controls easy to reach and use, but it is not as nice as prior generations as far as material quality - lots of hard plastic everywhere that does not look that nice. Dash rattle on the '07.

The other thing I hate - no coin holders! Yes, you have the padded ashtray where I keep my change, but if you want to get out a few quarters, etc. for tolls, there is no place to put them!!
