Nope if I were to choose today between the two, I'd buy an Accord hands down. Although if I was really in the market, I'd consider a Ford Fusion or Chevy Malibu over either. Toyota's quality has just gone downhill. Friend of mine has a Gen6 V6 XLE Camry and I honestly hated driving it. Decent power, but the engine was not smooth at all. It had crappy steering and a transmission that was even rougher than my 94. I felt my 94 Gen 3 was and is much more solid. Another friend of mine has a current gen Corolla and I hated driving it as well, plus it had rattles all over. My personal experience anyway. I would not buy any Toyota today.

Ive drove most of new car from famous automaker American Japanese even European, our Mechanics are Auto Bodyshop and Collision paint/repair all makes. My friend ownd a Car-Rental shop.
Ford Fusion 2009: I drove for 3 days straight, Power = not strong enuff for a new car, Gas: too over for a 4cyl, I compared to a 2007 Corrolla basic 4cyl, not a chance man, dont even talk to the Camry.
But i like the engine sound and the Shift knob, the interior is perpect + Steering system. however smart peoples dont go for that kinds of stuffs, they go for Gas and Engine or Transmission.
Chevy Malibu: This one can compare to a Corolla, i really like the improvement of the Chevrolet Gas is alrite, power is about the same, no wonder Taxi drivers chosen the Malibu for their bussiness, although compare to the Camry...no chance man unless Camaro SS Bumblebee
Camry 2009 V6 is our bodyshop daily drive, so no need to explain.
You mean for a new purchase? If you're talking older school in the used car market, I'd say Camry hands down, however for a new vehicle, this is my personal preference.
I'd say the Accord because it's available in a V6 with a manual transmission. (only on the coupe). It's understandable that a lot of people in the market for a sedan like the Accord or Camry wouldn't be interested in that feature, but it means a lot to me. I want to avoid an automatic as long as I can...
Oh well, i love the Manual Trans when in a race or the car just for racing car, for daily drive Manual would make u go for massage once at least a month, hate the heavy traffic, nowaday those old retires racer love the Tiptronic or Sportronic Shifter, u can use Auto and Manual, plus u dont need to change clutch all the times. Well if u have family n daily driving, just my opinion.
I used to have an auto trans, i traded in for Manual, then i traded in again for Auto because my wife bit-ch at me too much, he could drive a 5speed but the car DIE in heavy traffic lol n my Son always with her.

Trust me Auto Trans or Manual = little different.
Ah, I really don't like the idea of sequential automatics, I believe Toyota calls it "Multi Mode Transmission". The problem is that it shifts even when you tell it what gear to stay in (ie, putting the MMT in 1st gear and punching it, will result in it shifting, which drives me nuts, not pun intended ) For that reason it's not a subsitution for a true manual.
Again, the majority of people looking into a family mover probably won't care about the issue, and I don't want to stray from the topic too much, but that was just my personal opinion. It's a huge difference for me, the synergy between car and driver in a manual gives incredible feelings of control and it's just plain fun aswell.
Nothing wrong with automatics, but I still think the customer should have the choice...
You have the biggest brass balls I have ever seen. Coming to a Toyota site and asking that. Cute thing is I only bought the Toyota over the Honda because they would talk price.
