torque problem?

getting this weird feeling..... i give gas and once it passes 2,500rpm like thats when u feel getting pulled... like almost a turbo is spooling up and at 2,500 its giving boost (i got no turbo)

also i put in neutral and gave gas... dropped to drive (yes i know this is HORRIBLE for the motor, but i did it because i didnt do for a long time) ... anyhow i dropped it and like the engine chocked... didnt die out but like got the chocking sound... =( is something dieing out?

also if i wanna turbo my car... since it has 130,000 HARD DRIVEN miles, should i consider something? every gasket has been replaced... but the car feels like its dieing out =(

Take care of the "oil gunk" issue...Take it from me -- bad experience.

And your powerband feeling may be related... this is just sort of thinking out loud, but it could be that at 2500rpm the motor is able to more easily work against the restrictiveness caused by your sludge buildup (I assume that's what you mean by gunk).

Get yourself a can of engine cleaner and run it through before the next oil change.

Or it could be that for whatever reason that's where your powerband starts and it's a normal behavior.

I get the same pull in my '94 4 cyl, although my pull consistently starts at 3200RPM rather than your 2500RPM.

What year did Toyota start putting VVT in its Camry's? I know 5th gen definitely has it, but do earlier models have it?

What's the chance of having problems after a tranny flush. I read that it's a good thing but a bad thing sometimes. I have a 3vz-fe. With 126,000
