Which is the best steering wheel to get?

I am considering getting a momo or sparco aftermarket steering wheel for my Gen 4.5 camry (2000 LE auto 4cyl). I haven't seen any in person, only been looking on websites and ebay, so i do not know which is the best (best feel, size, etc).

Which do you guys think is the best one to get? My friend has an Acura RSX type s, and i love that steering wheel. I want a black leather just like that one...does anyone know which model (either momo or sparco) is the closest to the rsx-s steering wheel?

get the Factory MRs, Corolla Type S or the Celica GTS steering wheel... I personnally love those but my heart always belong to Nardi, TOM's or a Momo Prototipo ( only for the Old School)

hey wraith

i agree with you that the corolla s, celica gt/gts, matrix steering wheels are the best to get, but they are so hard to find. That is why i am considering aftermarket..momo, sparco, tekniq.

any opinions on tekniq? their prices are not too bad.

Tekniq's detachable steering wheel system is nice I have it... But, I would go for either Momo or Sparco for cheaper pricess... If you want something rare and holds their value ... Get your hands on a Nardi Classic , Nardi Rally Deep dish, Toms steering wheel, a Kiechi K-Office steering, 5Zigen NZR1, or a Momo Prototipo. These are what I would get, since I'm a steering wheel collector and love crazy rare steering wheels. I have a 5Zigen NZR1 that has been dis continued since the late 80's, 4 Japanese and European Dragon emblem Celica factory steering wheels, a Couple of Nardi Classic's and Torino's, and 1 Mint Condition Momo Prototipo valued for $400.00 bucks ( has been discontinued since the 70's... But you can still get the newer disgn Prototipos for $350 bucks on Ebay)... Sorry for Rambling, good luck with your choice...

oops a few more quick questions, to wraith or anyone who knows.

if i get a momo hub adaptor for my car, will it work with a sparco steering wheel too?

also, i am going to have my mechanic install the steering wheel. I have driver airbag and passenger side airbag. With a new wheel, i'll lose the driver airbag, but will this affect the funtion of the passenger airbag? or will that still work? my mechanic is worried about if it's "legal" to add an aftermarket wheel because of the safety issue...he even thought i had to sign something or call toyota to clear it....is that true? (i didn't thinks so but not 100% sure)

thanks

i like my momo, but dont know about sparko.
it is not legale for a machanic to put it in but it is not that hard all you need is a screwdriver allinwrenches and a socket set
undue the battery and pull the wheel buy the book, you will have to make a copper/brass slide for your horn, but it will tack about 1 hour

cman did you ever do this install i'm lookign into getting a sparco wheel, with the metal liek wraith likes. Any help on this install would be great. I do have a Driver side airbag (no passenger) so how to avoid issues with that would be great. If the code is tirpped is going to the dealer the only way to have the code cleared?

I have a Sparco one on my camry. Love it. The reason why I stuck with sparco cuz I have sparco seats, harnesses, hoodpins, motorcycle gas cap, and other accessories, so I figured that it would clash if I got a nardi, momo, or veilside.

The hub you should use is Either from a MR2 or a Celica. I used one from a Celica and it fit fine.

I have a 92. I think I used the one from the MR2 and Celica one. I think they're the same.
